Hello! I am Murat Gündoğdu, a naval architecture and marine engineering professional. I am a dedicated individual who works with great motivation and commitment towards my goals. Additionally, I have a keen interest in machine learning and conduct professional work using machine learning algorithms and deep learning models to automate and expedite the ship design process.
In my free time, I continue to explore non-work-related subjects to continuously develop myself. I approach learning with great passion and strive to enhance my skills by seeking new challenges.
I completed my education in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University. I can communicate in both English and Turkish languages. I possess skills such as project management, understanding and preparation of technical drawings, expertise in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino, 3ds Max, Maxsurf, Grasshopper), design and development, data analysis and interpretation, teamwork, written and verbal communication.
Furthermore, I hold various certifications, including the ability to use life-saving appliances, personal survival at sea, leadership and teamwork, management of machinery spaces, cargo operations on oil and chemical tankers, cargo operations on liquefied gas tankers, completion of long-distance watchkeeping engineering, basic training in fire prevention and firefighting, passenger ship familiarization for ship personnel, high voltage training, and more.
In my professional experience, I worked as a project engineer at Atlas Shipyard, providing technical guidance to “steel” and “pipe” subcontractors during the construction of three 77-meter vessels. I also performed complex calculations, analyzed engineering processes, and introduced new approaches for improvement.
